Riley, Jackson, and Larry Brown are always talked about as great coaches of all time. But Popovich's name is never thrown in that conversation. Why not?
Why do those other coaches get mentioned but Popovich doesn't? Is it because he doesn't have that look at me personality?
I was thinking about that today and really had no answer for it. His teams are very fundamentally sounds and don't seem to make the big time mistakes really.
And let me clarify, when I say great I mean all-time great.
